The Razer Blade 15, much like several other high-end gaming laptops, has been upgraded with Intel's newest Alder Lake laptop processors and new Nvidia graphics cards. Razer appears to have ditched the "Base Model" and "Advanced Model" naming scheme, which will come as a relief for many. Much like its predecessor, the gaming notebook is offered in a variety of configurations. It will be available for pre-order on Razer's store on January 25, with wider availability to commence in Q1, 2022.
CPU choices on the Razer Blade 15 range between an Intel Core i7-12800H and a Core i9-12900HK. The former is standard across all models, while the latter is restricted to the top-of-the-line SKU. Similarly, one can pick between an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or an RTX 3060 (entry-level variant only) graphics card. Razer hasn't specified the TDP of either card, but we learned earlier that the RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti could have a TDP of 150W and 190W, respectively. It'll be interesting to see how the i9-12900HK performs alongside an equally power-hungry Ampere part.
The Razer Blade 15 is offered with a wide range of display configurations, and all of them share the same 15.6-inch LCD screen. One variant has a QHD (2,560 x 1,440) panel with a refresh rate of 240Hz, 2ms response time, Nvidia G-Sync/Advanced Optimus support, 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Another one has an FHD (1,920 x 1,080) panel, refreshes at 360Hz, has a 2ms response time and covers 100% of the sRGB colour spectrum. Finally, the maxed-out version features a 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160) panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. There's a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass for extra protection, too.
The entry-level Razer Blade 15 models have 16GB of 4,800MT/s of DDR5 RAM, while the higher-end variants get 32GB, both upgradeable up to 64GB. It is paired with a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD, with an extra slot for further expansion. Connectivity options include three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one SD card reader, one HDMI port, one 3.5mm combo audio jack, a Kensington Lock slot, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2. The laptop's FHD webcam has an IR sensor that allows Windows Hello functionality. Lastly, the notebook draws power from an 80Wh battery that supports 230W charging.
