RTX 4060-powered Mechrevo iMini G gaming mini PC with Core i5-13450HX and 16 GB of RAM hits the market for $899
Mini PCs are typically thought of as efficiency-first systems with integrated graphics and not much to offer in terms of raw horsepower. That might be true for the vast majority of mini PCs in the market, but there are exceptions to that trend such as the AtomMan lineup from Minisforum which offers high-end specs, often paired with dedicated graphics, albeit mobile variants.
Mechrevo's iMini G is one such mini PC that offers relatively beefy internals without taking up a whole lot of space. The system boasts a sci-fi-looking enclosure that exudes strong gamer vibes, which may or may not be welcome depending on the target crowd. With a 10-core, 16-thread Core i5-13450HX 'Raptor Lake' CPU paired with 16 GB of memory, the iMini G offers healthy mid-range processing power that should chew through most tasks relatively effortlessly.
Unlike most mini PCs which opt for integrated graphics, the Mechrevo iMini G boasts an RTX 4060 Laptop GPU (140 W), allowing for impressive gaming performance that iGPUs just can't match. Mechrevo claims an impressive cooling system, with dual 90 mm fans and six Copper heat pipes for efficient heat dissipation, which is of the utmost importance in an enclosure that is just 4.5 liters in volume. Whether or not Mechrevo's design is effective in that regard, can only be verified through independent testing.
As for connectivity, the Mechrevo iMini G offers an extensive array of ports, including five USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.2 ports, a mini DisplayPort, HDMI 2.1, a USB 3.2 Type-C port, an audio jack, as well as an ethernet port. A 512 GB NVMe M.2 SSD takes care of storage, while WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 take care of wireless communications.
Priced at $899, the Mechrevo iMini G is by no means cheap for what it offers, but potential customers who appreciate the interestingly styled enclosure will most likely be perfectly content with the rest of the system.
