The Qidi Plus5 is a new enclosed 3D printer featuring a large build volume and multi-filament support. Designed to process engineering-grade materials, the model is built for producing particularly robust parts.

Qidi has introduced its new Plus5 3D printer, priced starting at $749, with a combo version available for $899. A Polar Cooler Bundle can also be purchased, which adds a specialized cooling solution for the extruder's cold side. Measuring 500 × 488 × 558 mm, the machine offers a generous build volume of 320 × 320 × 300 mm—roughly matching the open-frame Bambu Lab A2L we previously reviewed.

In addition to shielding prints from drafts, the enclosed Plus5 features active chamber heating up to 65°C—a critical capability for engineering-grade and other demanding materials. Exhaust air is routed through a multi-stage filtration system that includes activated carbon.

The build bed heats up to 120°C, while the print head reaches up to 370°C. Automatic bed leveling is handled via a load cell, which detects physical contact between the nozzle and the print bed. An integrated camera monitors for print errors, stopping failed jobs early to prevent wasted filament. Users can operate the printer using the 4-inch touchscreen or via USB, though Wi-Fi control will likely prove most convenient for everyday use.
