PlayStation has kicked off its Black Friday sales with massive discounts on several games. Among these games are major titles such as Marvel's Wolverine and Control Resonant that are just a few months old.

PlayStation has kicked off its Black Friday sales on the PS Store, and it is supposed to run until November 21. While several games are on sale, what's more notable is that new AAA games released just a few months ago such as Marvel's Wolverine, Control Resonant, and Beast of Reincarnation, have also received notable discounts. So if you didn't pick up any of these games when they were released, now is a good time to do so.

Marvel's Wolverine Digital Deluxe Edition

Insomniac's Marvel's Wolverine is a PS5-exclusive game that was released on September 15. While the standard version of the game retains its $69.99 price tag, the Digital Deluxe Edition, which originally sells for $79.99 is 25% off and now available for $59.99.

Since its release, Insomniac Games has released multiple updates for the game including a feature that lets users turn off the infamous fart gas. With the purchase of the Digital Deluxe Edition, players get the base game alongside five exclusive suits, five exclusive claws, four PlayStation avatars, four technique points, and early unlock of the classic brown suit and reflective claws.

Control Resonant Digital Deluxe Edition

Released on September 24, 2026, Control Resonant, is the sequel to the widely-acclaimed Control that was released in 2019. Just as is the case with Marvel's Wolverine, the standard edition has not been discounted, but the Digital Deluxe Edition is down to $55.99 from $69.99, which is lower than the $59.99 price of the standard edition.

Developed and published by Remedy Entertainment, Control Resonant has a Metacritic score of 83 on PS5. The game has received praise for its story, visual design, and its combat, although some have also said it eventually becomes repetitive.

007 First Light Deluxe Edition

2026 saw the release of a new 007 video game title after over 12 years, in the form of 007 First Light. The 3rd-person action game sees players step into the shoes of a young James Bond that has just joined MI6.

Once again, it is the Deluxe Edition that has been discounted, dropping from $79.99 to $39.99 (50% off), barely six months after its release. The game has a Metacritic score of 87 and has sold over 4 million units since its release.

Beast of Reincarnation

This is another 2026 video game that is only a few months old, but has been discounted. Developed by Game Freak, a studio best know for Pokémon games, Beast of Reincarnation is set in the year 4026 in Japan, and has players control, Emma, a female protagonist, and her giant dog companion, Koo. Both fight a variety of giant monsters and robots as they try to save a corrupted Japan from a blight.

While the game has received mixed reviews, with some calling it unfinished and unpolished when it was first released. However, it has received updates that have improved it. Nevertheless, the positive reviews have praised the combat, the character and world design, and the storyline, comparing it to NieR Automata, Stellar Blade, and Sekiro.

Beast of Reincarnation cost $59.99 at launch but is down to $44.99 for Black Friday. The Deluxe Edition has also received a price cut, dropping from $69.99 to $52.49.
