IO Interactive launched the free 007 First Light Starter Pack on Steam and Xbox Series X|S, with PS5 following November 10 and up to 50 percent off the full game.

IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios released the 007 First Light Free Starter Pack on November 5, 2026, on PC via Steam and on Xbox Series X|S. The pack lets players try the opening mission of the James Bond origin story at no cost, and progress carries over if they buy the full game.

What the Starter Pack includes

The 007 First Light Free Starter Pack covers the opening chapter in Iceland, titled Against the Odds. It introduces a younger James Bond in IO Interactive’s reimagined origin story. The Steam version supports Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud. The full version unlocks the entire story, challenges, and the Tactical Simulations mode.

PlayStation 5 owners get the Starter Pack on November 10, 2026. Until then, PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can play a separate one-hour timed trial.

Discounts and Switch 2 release

IO Interactive is also discounting the full game on three platforms. Steam gets 40 percent off from November 5 to November 9, and Xbox Series X|S gets 40 percent off from November 5 to November 15. PlayStation 5 receives 50 percent off from November 5 to November 30. The full game is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch 2 version follows on March 18, 2027.

Updates added since launch

Two free updates have expanded the game since its May 27 release. Update 1.1.0, released July 24, added two TacSim Escalation missions, The Workshop and Extraction Avenues, plus three weapons and a new outfit. The free Extended Operations DLC, released October 1 as update 1.3.0, added New Game+, a harder 00 difficulty, Photo Mode, a driving activity called Valhalla Protocol, and a TacSim operation called Jungle Heist. Both updates also included stability fixes.

PC system requirements

The PC version requires 80 GB of free SSD space and Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit).
