Philips Hue recently issued a new version of its app for iOS and Android. Version 5.50.0 arrived a few days ago, with the change log noting support for the new Hue Bridge Pro and the ability to sync Apple Home over Matter.
It has since been reported that there was another, undocumented change with Philips Hue app version 5.50.0. A new collection of Wanderlust scenes is now available for users in the Hue Scene Gallery. The range includes five travel-themed smart lighting scenes: Rome, Coastal nights, Ocean escape, Santorini and Island Warmth. Ocean escape, Rome and Santorini are brighter scenes, featuring various shades of blue, yellow and peach. Coastal nights has a sunset theme with oranges, pinks and purples, while Island warmth has similarly warm yellows, pinks and oranges.
It is unclear why these new scenes have not been officially announced. It could be that they are designed for some of the latest Philips Hue smart lights, like the new A19/E27 bulbs, which cover a wider spectrum of white light. However, this has not been confirmed by the brand. You can download the latest version of the Philips Hue app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
