Pocketpair confirms the official Palworld 1.0 launch times and addresses save wipes. Here is a look at what is changing in the World Tree update.

Pocketpair confirmed the global launch schedule for Palworld’s upcoming version 1.0 update, marking the game’s official exit from early access. The full release patch goes live this Friday, July 10, 2026, across PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Game Pass.

As the studio operates out of Japan, the release timing targets roughly 12:30 PM Japan Standard Time. For North American players, the download actually hits digital storefronts on Thursday evening, July 9, at 8:30 PM Pacific Time or 11:30 PM Eastern Time.

Global release times and the save wipe question

With a major shift like this, returning players are naturally anxious about their current progress. Pocketpair explicitly stated that players do not need to worry about a forced save wipe. Existing bases, materials, and captured Pal collections will carry over directly into the full release build.

Even so, the developers issued an official recommendation advising veterans to start a completely fresh character anyway. According to the studio, the 1.0 build implements extensive overhauls to core progression, major mechanic rebalances, and a fully realized story structure that replaces the older, open exploration loop. Starting over from level one is the best way to see all the new systems in context.

What is inside the 27-page 1.0 patch notes

The sheer size of this launch shows in the upcoming patch notes, which the development team revealed span roughly 27 pages. The absolute center of the expansion is the removal of the giant red barrier surrounding the World Tree. The landmark now serves as the main high-level endgame territory, flanked by mysterious floating Sky Islands that offer entirely new resources and aggressive human factions to fight.

The update also delivers the single largest drop of new creatures since the game first exploded in 2024. Pre-release trailers confirm a brand-new fire dragon; a martial arts panda companion named Leafan; a massive sky serpent, and a sword-shaped eel Pal that players can literally wield as a physical weapon during combat. Existing tower bosses are also receiving completely reworked attack patterns to surprise experienced players.

Platforms and Game Pass availability

Palworld 1.0 arrives as a simultaneous launch on Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Active Xbox Game Pass subscribers can access the full game immediately as part of their standard service when the servers go live later this week.
