Xiaomi is preparing to unleash new high-performance mobile devices globally under its POCO brand, and the top-of-the-line model is ready to take center stage. The POCO F8 Ultra, expected to be the rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi K90 Pro Max from China, has made its first appearance on the Geekbench benchmark, confirming its raw hardware potential.
The POCO F8 Ultra showed up in the Geekbench 6 database, racking up scores of 3,327 in single-core tests and 9,872 in multi-core tests. Digging into the details, the motherboard's codename, "canoe," and the CPU clock speeds (4.61GHz for the two main cores and 3.63GHz for the remaining six) confirm that the device will boast the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.
Geekbench confirms 16GB RAM for the POCO F8 Ultra in global markets
Another key detail revealed by the benchmark listing is the RAM configuration. The POCO F8 Ultra (25102PCBEG) was tested with 16GB of RAM. This is important because recent leaks suggest the slightly lower-tier POCO F8 Pro will be capped at 12GB globally. It seems Xiaomi is reserving that extra 4GB of memory as a major differentiating factor for the Ultra model, making it a key selling point.
While the current benchmark scores are solid, they are not the absolute highest we have seen from devices packing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. However, this is common for early performance listings. Xiaomi likely still has software optimization work ahead of them. Users should expect the final, consumer-ready product to deliver better raw benchmark scores once the POCO F8 Ultra is officially tuned for the global market.
