POCO has not confirmed when the C55 will be available either, other than a vague commitment the device 'coming soon'. Separately, @TechnoAnkit1 has shared various specifications for the POCO C55, including an alleged device photo. As expected, the POCO C55 is a re-branded Redmi 12C, which has only launched in China so far. Reportedly, Xiaomi plans to offer the Redmi 12C and POCO C55 globally, although it is unclear which markets will receive one or the other.
As such, the POCO C55 will launch with a 6.71-inch IPS display that outputs at 1,650 x 720 pixels and 500 nits with an 82.6% screen-to-body ratio. Additionally, the handset will feature a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, a 5,000 mAh battery with 10 W wired charging and a 50 MP primary camera. Xiaomi also equips the Redmi 12C with a 5 MP front-facing camera and a secondary rear-facing depth camera. However, the latter outputs at a measly 0.08 MP, rendering it useless for the most part. POCO C55 pricing has not leaked yet but the Redmi 12C starts at CNY 699 (~US$102) in China with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
