The Optoma L1 projector has been unveiled. The 4K UHD UST gadget has up to 2,500 lumens brightness and can project images up to 105-in (~267 cm) wide with a 0:25 throw ratio. A gaming mode improves contrast and colors; the lowest input lag with a 240 Hz refresh rate is 15 ms at 1080p.

Optoma has revealed the L1 projector, an 4K UHD ultra-short-throw model. You can use the gadget to throw images up to 105-in (~267 cm) wide with a 0.25:1 throw ratio. The projector has up to 2,500 lumens brightness with 4LED technology, covering 100% of the Rec. 709 color gamut. The device has a 1:800,000:1 contrast ratio and supports HDR and HLG.

A gaming mode on the L1 enhances contrast and colors for an immersive experience. The setting provides a 27 ms lag at 4K or 15 ms at 1080p with a 240 Hz refresh rate. Other gaming features include motion smoothing technology and ports such as HDMI 2.0, 3.5 mm audio and USB-A to connect external devices. The Optoma projector generates 26 dB on average and comes with a built-in 20 W speaker system. You can also correct the picture with various tools, such as a four-corner keystone feature.

The device is billed as “eco-friendly” due to energy-saving features such as the 4LED technology, which is said to reduce energy consumption by 47% compared to a lamp. Plus, the casing is made with up to 50% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastics. The compact gadget measures 400 x 316 x 102 mm (~15.7 x 12.4 x 4.0-in). It is unclear when the Optoma L1 projector will go on sale and how much it will cost.
