Samsung S95C QD-OLED: Price of 77-in TV with over 2,000 nits brightness leaked
The price of the 77-in Samsung S95C QD-OLED TV has been leaked. According to FlatpanelsHD, a product listing which has since been taken down showed that the device would cost US$4,499. For comparison, the 2023 77-in LG G2 OLED TV is selling for around US$3,600; the pricing of the 2023 models is yet to be announced. No further details about the 77-in TV, such as when it would launch or the price of the cheaper S90C model, were revealed.
Samsung announced the S95C and S90C ranges at CES earlier this year. The core difference between the ranges appears to be that the S95C TVs come with an external One Connect box. This media receiver can streamline connections to gadgets like cable or satellite TV boxes and game consoles. Samsung claims that the new QD-OLED panel will be capable of over 2,000 nits brightness.
The S95C will have a 4K resolution with a 144 Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+ Adaptive. Other features of the S95C include a built-in 4.2.2 channel 70 W sound system with Dolby Atmos compatibility, Apple AirPlay 2 and Matter smart home standard support. The TV will use the Tizen 7.0 OS allowing streaming from services like Netflix, Disney+ and YouTube. The 2023 S95C QD-OLED and 2023 S90C QD-OLED TVs will also be available in 55-in and 65-in models.
