Christie has announced the 4K22-HS laser projector, which it will showcase at ISE 2023. The new model in the HS Series has a 4K UHD native resolution and up to 22,500 ISO lumens or 19,000 ANSI lumens brightness. Christie claims it is the brightest 1DLP laser projector of its kind on the market, with a 60 Hz frame rate at 4K or 240 Hz at 1080p. The device is compatible with a wide range of lenses from the WUXGA HS Series, including a 0.38:1 ultra short throw model.
The proprietary BoldColor+ technology helps to provide more realistic colors and deeper blacks, with a 4,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Correction tools include Christie Twist to help you fix warping and Christie Intelligent Camera (CIC) for autofocus and color optimization. Plus, Christie Mystique can help you to automate the setting up of a multi-projection system using cameras to align and recalibrate the devices.
Other features include AMX and Crestron connectivity and support for active or passive polarized 3D and Eco Mode to extend the device’s lifetime up to 20,000 hours through reduced brightness. Eco Mode also allows the gadget to operate quietly, producing as little as 42 dBa noise. You can connect devices to the projector via HDMI 2.0, HDBaseT, DP and USB-A ports. The gadget measures 26.65 x 23.46 x 7.99-in (677 x 596 x 203 mm) without feet and weighs 95.9 lbs (~43.5 kg). The price of the Christie 4K22-HS laser projector is available on request.
