Sharp NEC has announced the NEC PA1405UL and NEC PA1705UL projectors, which it will demonstrate at ISE 2023. The devices have up to 17,000 lumens brightness from a laser light source with LCD technology, enabling them to be used in brighter environments. The gadgets have been designed to be used on larger scales in educational settings, meeting rooms, auditoriums and leisure venues such as museums.
The company suggests that the “super-silent operation” of these projectors is one of their greatest strengths; however, the company has not provided a specific noise output level. The projectors are filter-free and very low maintenance thanks to a sealed engine; the light source is expected to last for up to 20,000 hours without requiring a service. As with other devices in the PA series, the projectors are compatible with a wide range of lenses and come with ProAssist for easier set-up and setting management.
Sharp NEC describes the projectors as “compact yet powerful”, though the exact size of these devices is unclear. Further details about the gadgets, such as a throw ratio, maximum image size or input and output ports, have not yet been provided. The new Sharp NEC PA1405UL and NEC PA1705UL projectors will be available from July 2023, with prices supplied on request.
