Oppo is still a relatively unknown player in Germany, but it's already number 4 in global smartphone sales after Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi. This means that the Chinese manufacturer is doing quite a lot right from the customer's point of view. We will find out in our review whether that is also the case with the Find X3 Lite, the smallest model from Oppo's new flagship family.

The Oppo Find X3 Lite is a solid if unremarkable budget smartphone with a sleek design, nice display and fast charging. But in 2022, the dull camera, disappointing battery life, weaker internals and steeper price makes it hard to recommend.

By neglecting to improve the hardware configuration between the Find X2 Lite and this latest edition, Oppo has instead prioritised easing the strain of more obvious compromises that normally blight mid-tier devices. The performance levels of the Snapdragon 765G are perfectly adequate, and both the display and camera configuration receive a much-needed upgrade. The best case for comparison would be with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, which usurps this device with its stunning 120Hz display and 108MP main lens while costing roughly £100 less. This doesn’t feature 5G connectivity, however, giving Oppo’s alternative an upper hand. Ultimately, Oppo manages to offer a taste of the high life with the Find X3 Lite while keeping costs down. It’s a well-designed and sophisticated smartphone that offers plenty for its price, including a strong display and long-lasting battery, without raising too many eyebrows.

Available in March 2021, the Oppo Find X3 Lite is the most economical of the three devices in Oppo’s Find X3 line, but still packs in some attractive features, including a multi-cam setup with a 64 MP main camera. Let’s find out how well its display performed in our protocol tests. The Oppo Find X3 Lite put in a somewhat underwhelming showing in our Display protocol tests. However, its still image (gallery app) color rendering is a plus, as is its good overall touch accuracy and its smoothness when browsing and scrolling.

Being a one-speaker device, the Oppo Find X3 Lite starts from a weak position, but it could have done more to bolster its strong points and shore up the weak ones. In playback, it is mostly functional and even deserves some praise for its warm midrange, though it had flaws on the other ends of the spectrum. It performed fairly well in artifacts, delivering clean sound in most use cases. As a recording device, the X3 Lite is a conundrum. Performing well in some respects — even difficult sound environments — and foundering in others. The inverted sound scene in life video is a head scratcher, to be sure. As a recording device, the Find X3 Lite captures sound without inducing many artifacts, a positive to build on in future iterations of this line of Oppo devices.

The Oppo Find X3 Lite has enough in its performance and camera quality to make it an excellent value-for-money choice down at the affordable end of the smartphone market – though you will have to make compromises to get yourself a handset at this price.

The Oppo Find X3 Lite provides fast charging in all of our tests. Its main drawback is its autonomy, which (like the OnePlus 8T’s) lags a significant number of hours behind that of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro 5G. But while both the OnePlus and Oppo batteries can’t compete with the Xiaomi’s 5000 mAh battery in terms of battery life, they both do a much better job than the Xiaomi when it comes to charging, in no small measure due to their 65W charger (vs 33W for the Mi 10T Pro 5G). Further, the Oppo Find X3 Lite shows good power efficiency, with an overall Efficiency score that is just 3 points behind OnePlus 8T. In short, it’s fair to say that the Oppo holds its own in our high-end segment.

This apparently 'Lite' device actually has plenty to offer, with ample power, a good display, and solid build. There are some software quirks - like notifications that never arrive - that lets the side down, while the camera array's many lenses seem to have lost focus on what matters. But otherwise there's little 'Lite' about this Find X3 device.

It's light, it's compact, it charges fast, and it shoots well in the dark. But it's still no match for the cut-throat mid-range market where even stereo speakers are a standard feature. Oppo's mid-range devices have always had some trouble competing with the rest price-wise. It's hard to argue with the likes of Poco F3 and the Mi 10T Pro as they both offer better price/performance ratio while asking less than the Reno5 5G.

The Oppo Find X3 Lite is a step up from the previous generation, there’s no denying it. The design improvements may be small, but overall they deliver a much more refined aesthetic and feel. That said, the mid-range space is extremely competitive and the camera on this phone doesn’t quite match up to that of rivals like the OnePlus Nord – which boasts similar specs with a better camera, all for the same price. Nonetheless, that doesn’t take away from the fact that this is still a solid phone, and one to consider if you want a device that strikes an even balance between good features and reasonable pricing.

The lowest spec option in the Oppo Find X3 range, the Oppo Find X3 Lite is also, understandably, the most affordable of the bunch. While the Oppo Find X3 Neo may have found the sweet spot between affordability and power, the Oppo Find X3 Lite is more about offering dependable if unexciting features for a good price.

The Find X3 Pro is Oppo's answer to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra; therefore, it offers a high-end smartphone that breaks new ground especially in terms of the camera. Some improvements have been made compared to the predecessor, but our review also reveals some minor setbacks.

How’s that for a flagship then? The Oppo Find X3 Pro is yet another high-priced tour-de-force and a further example that there’s absolutely no need to stick with the mainstream to get your flagship fix. If you’re willing to take a step off the well-trodden path, you’ll be rewarded with the very best Android can muster, bar none. Of course, it isn’t an entirely faultless handset. In my view, Oppo would have done well to undercut the starting price of the iPhone 12 Pro, at least by a tiny bit, in order to boost the appeal of the Find X3 Pro. More attention should have been paid to battery life, too, rather than simply relying on fast charging speeds. But if you’ve got the money, and you aren’t spending long trips away from the wall socket, then the Oppo Find X3 Pro is still a mighty fine flagship indeed.

Oppo’s 2021 flagship didn’t come cheap at launch, retailing for a rather pricey €1,149 at first. The phone has been on sale for €100 to €200 cheaper on the likes of Amazon, but it’s still evidently priced as a premium flagship. Fortunately, it still brings plenty of premium extras, such as fast wired/wireless charging, a top-notch OLED screen, and a unique, water-resistant design. It’s not a total hit though, as that microscope camera is fun but clearly in need of improving, while the lack of a periscope camera is particularly disappointing given that rival devices offer this or even two telephoto cameras.

Oppo are an upcoming company who hit the UK a few years ago, they made a big splash with small well positioned adverts at Wimbledon and other such events. Of course all this would mean nothing if their phones were not up to scratch. This is one of a range of recently released offerings.

Overall, this is one beastly phone with a very sleek and understated design, and I don't think anyone picking it up would be disappointed in its feature-set. You're getting one of the best screens, battery life, performance, and camera capabilities on any smartphone on the market right now. This device is an excellent option if you want a phone that has every possible feature you would want on your device.

The Oppo Find X3 Pro isn’t an easy smartphone to recommend. With all that Oppo’s flagship does right, including its brilliant display, plentiful customization settings, and excellent cameras, its expensive price tag will turn many people away who will look for a more affordable flagship with similar specs. However, the Find X3 Pro does a brilliant job at offering premium features in a thin and beautiful handheld device, especially when its bright and vivid display is on. If you’re not a fan of caviar but on the hunt for a similar tasting dish, look no further than the OnePlus 9 Pro.

The main thing I’m left wondering about is the price-tag. As good as this phone is, I think £1099 is a lot to ask of UK buyers, particularly when Oppo doesn’t have the same brand recognition as Samsung on these shores. The S21 Ultra, for instance, is similarly specced-out and is also very similarly priced on Amazon right now. Oppo has clearly tried to give itself a differentiating factor with its microlens camera, but personally I wouldn’t see it swaying me one way or the other. It’s a really cool feature for sure, but at the end of the day the novelty does wear off and you find yourself using it less and less. At least, that was the case for me. Regardless, Oppo has made a highly impressive flagship with the Find X3 Pro and I think the company will have a lot to say in the flagship Android smartphone conversation going forward. Ultimately I think the high price may just prevent this phone getting into as many pockets as it might otherwise have, but it’s still an excellent choice that does little wrong.

The sole bright spot was volume: the Find X3 Pro is loud enough and it’s intelligible at minimum volume. As a recording device, the Oppo Find X3 Pro fares much better, comparing well with other ultra-premium devices and with its brand forerunner. It produced good tonal balance overall, good dynamics, and also did well in the spatial attribute, with good wideness in life video and the meeting use case. The loudness in life video was also a strong point. In both video apps, overall sound is slightly muffled with a lack of treble and prominent low midrange. In many use cases, dynamics were impacted by some strange compression behavior, especially in the high SPL scenario.

The Oppo Find X3 Pro measures up well against the competition for the most part, scoring well in readability (which is ultimately the most important measure of utility for a smartphone display) but also earning praise for its smooth touch, which made the experience of using it a pleasure. Lighting transitions were well managed overall, and the device does a good job of adapting to the color space of visual content, thus increasing fidelity. On the downside, it could be a bit brighter when used outside and in direct sunlight. And the Find X3 Pro has some shortcomings when it comes to video playback with HDR10 content. It’s not bright enough, and there are problems with the management of contrast and color that do affect the viewing experience.

The Oppo Find X3 Pro is the brand’s top-end flagship for 2021, built to compete with the best high-end devices, and with a price that positions it in the ultra-premium segment. Phone features include a 6.7-inch AMOLED QHD+ display with 120 Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage, and fast 65W SuperVOOC charging. As you’d expect, this ultra-premium device comes equipped with plenty of cameras, too. There’s a quad-cam on the rear, including a 50 MP standard-wide main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide, a 13 MP tele-lens module for 5x “hybrid optical zoom” shots, and a 3 MP microscope camera (not covered by our test protocol).

Of course, tie-breakers for the buyer would rely on brand allegiances and the perceived value they get out of the phone. After all, Samsung has a way more advanced ecosystem for its phone, and it speaks across devices and appliances. Oppo doesn't really have that going for the Find X3 Pro, which may play to its favour since it doesn't feel as overwhelming as a Samsung entire ecosystem. To give it another analogy, if we bought the Find X3 Pro now, we'd likely never regret the purchase - and that's considering it's still early in the 2021 Android phone fight. The Oppo Find X3 Pro officially retails at S$1,599 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Available colours are Blue and Gloss Black. The Poco X3 Pro is for Android gamers or power users on a budget, with near-flagship processing power in one of the cheapest phones on the market. It's big, it's bulky, and the camera's not great - but it’s still astonishing that Xiaomi has pulled this off.

While the Find X3 Pro can't be called a "two-day" phone in terms of battery life, it has one of the fastest charging systems on a phone out there, with a 65W wired charger that fills up the battery in under 30 minutes (you read that right), and 30W wireless charging abilities that take just 80 minutes to do the same. Compare that with the two hours it takes Apple to charge the smaller 12 Pro Max battery with a cable, and you'll immediately appreciate Oppo's efforts to shake up the industry with the Find X3 Pro in more ways than one.

The Find X3 Pro is a flagship’s flagship, a phone that’s deliriously expensive and not ashamed of it. But if you are willing to spend that kind of money, then right now this is where I would spend it. The display is the best around, the charging speeds and battery life are both exceptional, and the two main camera lenses will be hard to beat - and that's not even mentioning the first-of-its-kind microlens camera.

If it wasn’t for its super-high price, the Oppo Find X3 Pro would be incredibly easy to recommend thanks to its good-looking screen, bespoke camera sensors and modes, powerful processor, fast charging and more. However, with this phone costing as much as it does, we’d only recommend it for professionals and those with large budgets.

All in all, the OPPO Find X3 Pro isn’t the purest thoroughbred of the bunch. But its solid performance in the display and internal hardware department, as well as its refreshing design deservingly earned it a spot among the top 2021 flagship offerings thus far. Its unique selling point, the microscope camera, is nothing more than just a gimmick at the end of the day. However, it does make room for some fun and interesting photo opportunities which are not offered by any other smartphone of its class. Indeed, the premium price tag makes the Find X3 Pro a tough smartphone to recommend. But if you’re looking for a straightforward handset with a sleek design, incredibly light weight, exceptional hardware performance and a fun imaging setup; then do consider this new OPPO flagship.

As a flagship smartphone, the Oppo Find X3 Pro checks all the boxes and does it with style. Great display, great processing power, decent battery life, with all the bells and whistles like wireless charging, waterproofing, on-display fingerprint security and NFC. Its frequently-used cameras are capable, and it comes in a beautiful finish to wrap it up nicely.

With a sleek and stylish design unlike anything else on the market coupled with its powerhouse innards, the Oppo Find X3 Pro is an amazing bit of engineering. This, along with a great quad camera setup, super fast charging capabilities and responsive UI makes this smartphone one to watch this year. Yes, this phone is let down somewhat by the selfie camera offering and an average battery life as well as being on the expensive side - costing a whole £200 more than its predecessor at launch - but it’s an exceptional phone for the money that won’t leave you disappointed.

It’s unfortunate that I haven’t ever used or reviewed an OPPO device before I was given this phone for review because I regret that I have no past experience with this manufacturer to build upon. But I can tell you that what I have experienced while using the OPPO Find X3 Pro has made me a huge fan of the brand. The OPPO Find X3 Pro is a stunning phone in many ways, and it is obvious that it’s a flagship — both in design and performance.

So now that we’ve talked about almost everything, let’s now discuss the price. For the Philippine market, we’re not yet sure if the OPPO Find X3 Pro will be available as there’s no official price yet. But it retails for EUR 1,150 so we’re looking at above the PHP 65,000 range, which is close to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra’s price.

If you ask yourself what you want in an overall experience in a smartphone, it probably adds up to a pretty display, a great camera, and fast performance (that's why I format my reviews in those categories). A sexy design might be on the list, but a lot of people write that off because they use a case. The Find X3 Pro nails all of those categories, and it even goes above and beyond in some places, such as adding that microscope lens that's not even a little practical.

Performance is mostly where it needs to be. Everyday tasks are smooth and enjoyable on the high-speed display, and you won’t notice any stuttering or lags from the UI. Gaming performance is held back just a touch unless you proactively switch on high performance mode. I wish all the horsepower were available all the time. Battery life is solid considering the high-powered processor and mid-sized 4,500mAh power cell. The main camera gets the job done, even if the ancillary lenses don’t.

Ten years ago, Leonardo started the Find journey with an OPPO phone with a full-slidable keyboard. At that time, the best Android phone in the industry was the moto Milestone. OPPO was just a newcomer and the idea of making a phone. I want everything. The conclusion is the original Find (X903) appearance, very straight and fierce, not at all like the OPPO that made the smile music phone.

The Find X3 Pro is not without competition; in fact, it's an all-out war. And while the Find X3 Pro delivers on its promises, it's not a perfect phone either. The Mi 11 is cheaper, the Galaxy - heavier but better spec'd, the P40 Pro - quite attractive but Google-less, while the vivo X60 Pro+ and the OnePlus 9 are yet to hit the shelves.

For the longest time, the OPPO Find lineup has been more about Finding innovation than restraint. The Find 7 wowed many of us with its specs and QuadHD display for the time. The Find X was.. Well, crazy.. It took design and motorized cameras more seriously than any other, and then the Find X2 Pro didn't just go Periscopic.. But also taught the new kids how to do it in a compact body. There's never been anything conventional about them, so of course it creates this sort of expectation of another vanguard phone for 2021.

On paper, the display on the OPPO Find X3 Pro may not seem like much of an upgrade over last year’s. However, in absolute terms, it is an upgrade, and overall it’s an excellent display that fixes many of the issues of last year’s model. The new LTPO panel provides an adaptive refresh rate solution that saves more battery, and it prevents color tint differences when the panel switches between refresh rates. The peak brightness remains the same, but its change in tone map behavior allows the Vivid profile to remain more legible than the X2 Pro when viewed outside.

Oppo also wants to win over demanding users with the Find X3 Neo. The system performance and the camera's imaging performance are supposed to be the keys to success. We will show how well the manufacturer succeeds in this in our review.

At this price point, the Oppo Find X3 Neo is a bit disappointing, especially as a recording device, where it received among the lowest marks in the Premium category. When it comes to playback, the X3 Neo is at least functional for everyday use, with a strong score in the volume attribute and a better than average mark for artifacts.

The Oppo Find X3 Neo puts in a solid overall display performance in this midrange tier of smartphones. With particularly strong scores in artifacts, motion, and color, the device shows that the strengths of the X3 line aren’t limited to the top-shelf X3 Pro. With a bit more brightness and a better viewer experience when watching HDR10 content, the X3 Neo would really be punching above its weight.

The Oppo Find X3 Neo is the middle entry in the company’s X series, slotted between the top-end X3 Pro and the X3 Lite. It features a 6.55-inch, 90-Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, Qualcomm’s 865 chipset with 5G support, and 12 GB of memory along with 256 GB of storage. There are four cameras on the back. The primary module uses a 50 MP Sony sensor. There’s also a dedicated tele-module that offers a 2x optical zoom. Both those cameras have the same specs as on the top-of-the-line Find X3 Pro. The Neo’s ultra-wide has to make do with a 16 MP sensor instead of the Pro’s 50 MP variant, though. There’s also a 2 MP wide-angle macro module for getting extra close to objects.

This is the latest SmartPhone to cross my desk loaned from Vodafone. I remember when Oppo first arrived in the UK and you saw their name at Wimbledon and I am sure most people had no idea who they were, I noticed it this year at The Queens tennis and I am sure more now know they are a mobile phone company.

The Oppo Find X3 Neo 5G has a near-flagship quality camera, display and performance, yet it costs a fraction of the price because you miss out on a couple of features you'd get elsewhere. If you want a slightly smaller phone, and you like its more rectangular design then it’s a really fantastic choice.

Overall, though, there's a lot of positives with this phone, and putting it against its most direct competition in the Android space, the Galaxy S21, the Find X3 Neo has some advantages. It uses a more premium build, it has better battery life (and much faster charging), more RAM and storage for the same price, and what I'd say is slightly better audio. I'd also say the camera holds up a bit better at night, though they're not too far off from each other during the day. On the other hand, Samsung offers a better display and a faster processor.

Although the Oppo Find X3 Neo’s results for autonomy were not by any means earthshaking, its performance was largely satisfactory; and that said, it did very well for power efficiency. But thanks to its highly efficient and powerful 65W charger, the Oppo Find X3 Neo turned in a truly outstanding performance for charging that nearly all other devices will have a hard time beating.

It's easy to see the appeal of this slim and nimble phone. It offers great battery life, flagship speeds and one very good camera. The Snapdragon 865 processor inside means it's not just an over-priced mid-range device, but its biggest challenge will likely be competing with other similar-priced rivals.

Dare to launch a revised version of the contemporary flagship phone again half a year after its release, OPPO is confident in the OPPO Find X3 Pro Photographer Edition. In the author’s many days of experience, I also clearly felt the tyranny of this phone, and even once made the author think that the Find X3 Pro series will be a perfect model in the history of OPPO mobile phones. In terms of appearance, the exquisiteness of the hand is difficult to be displayed by static pictures; the warm leather back shell and the weight of the whole machine are convenient. If you don’t hold it in your hand and play with it carefully, it would be a waste of the excellent design of this phone. If you need a mobile phone with various qualities in the top echelon of domestic production, then OPPO Find X3 Pro Photographer Edition is undoubtedly your choice.
