Oppo A5 2020 is a great phone if you’re feeling at all apprehensive about sporting a device that uses cheaper materials – none of your mates will clock this is a sub-£200 device. A big battery and display make for strong experience, even if a low resolution is a bit of a letdown.

The Oppo A5 2020 is bread-and-butter proof that you don’t need to spend a fortune for some impressive bits of kit on a smartphone. With a 5000mAh battery, a large display and an aesthetically-pleasing design to boot. The camera isn’t as strong as what we’ve seen on other budget phones, but this is still a great buy.

If you're looking for an affordable phone there are plenty of good options, this Oppo A5 included among them. Its battery life is exceptional, with near two-day life, its screen is large, and its processor ample for tasks and games. However, the screen could be higher-res and less prone to smears, while the 'quad camera' system is a total oversell.

The Oppo A5 2020 is just the kind of phone I end up recommending most often to friends. Its cost is low enough to make a SIM-free buy perfectly reasonable, it looks good and should have the CPU power, RAM and battery capacity to make use headache-free.

You don’t really lose out much: save for lower RAM, a 12-megapixel main shooter, and 8-megapixel selfie camera, you still get the majority of the A9 2020’s key features: Snapdragon 665, 5000mAh battery with USB-C charging, and stereo speakers.

The OPPO A5 2020 is a smartphone made for the casual users out there. It doesn’t have any major flaws but it doesn’t offer what you pay for. There are smartphones like Realme 5 Pro, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Vivo Z1 Pro which offer much better specs at the same price range. If you are looking for a smartphone for playing PUBG or some other heavy games ignore this one. On the other hand, if you are looking for a smartphone that comes with good speakers so you can enjoy watching videos and multitask easily then you can go for the OPPO A5 2020.

Qualcomm Adreno 610: Integrated (in the Snapdragon 665) graphics card based on the Adreno 600 architecture. The performance of the GPU is between the Adreno 510 and 512/612 and therefore in the lower mid range. Supports DirectX11_1, Vulkan 1.0, OpenCL 2.0, OpenGL ES 3.2.

Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.
