OnePlus Band price, specs, design, and launch date leaked as the company starts officially teasing the upcoming fitness tracker
Details of the OnePlus Band have been shared online by the tech tipster Ishan Agarwal. We recently reported about the activity tracker’s existence, and how it would be entering a crowded and competitive marketplace where it would have to take on rivals like the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 and Honor Band 5. OnePlus has also started teasing the smart brand, with those interested being able to sign up for notifications via Amazon India.
According to Agarwal, the OnePlus Band offers 24/7 heart-rate tracking, which is confirmed by the company’s promo material, and it also brings SpO2 blood measurement monitoring with it, which is becoming increasingly important to activity tracker users who want an idea of their general health and fitness. The OnePlus Band will sport a 1.1-inch AMOLED screen, come with up to 14 days of battery life, and it will be IP68 certified against water ingress.
As well as having the fitness tracker typical smartphone synchronization features, the OnePlus Band will also keep an eye on the sleep patterns of its user. Apparently, the OnePlus Band will be competitively priced at about ₹2,499 (US$34) and the rumored launch date for the wearable, which features 13 exercise modes, will be January 11 in India. The full design of the tracker has also been leaked in live images shared by Mukul Sharma (see embedded tweet below).
