OnePlus 9: new OxygenOS leak points to premium charging specs

OnePlus is expected to launch its Snapdragon 888-powered smartphones in March 2021. A new leak indicates that the OEM will bring its 65 watt (W) charging and 30W wireless charging standards from previous flagships back. However, it will also apparently be included in the vanilla 9 this time.

The OnePlus 8 Pro was the first flagship from its brand to launch with wired charging, wireless charging and reverse charging. Now, a new leak points to the same not only in its Pro successor, but in the vanilla 9 variant as well.

This claim has been published by 91Mobiles, a blog that purports to back the new leak up with shots of the OEM's Android 11 skin, OxygenOS 11, running on the OnePlus 9. They indicate both wireless charging and reverse charging, the latter of which has gained a new and handy widget in the UI's pull-down menu.

In other OnePlus news, the upcoming premium series might have a full panel of power options, but might lose out slightly in other ways. The leaker Digital Chat Station claims that it will not upgrade to a periscope lens as one of its rear cameras. This is thought to be due to supply-chain issues that might persist from the crisis of 2020.
