Videocardz has reported on a CD Projekt Red competition for a modded Cyberpunk 2077 themed RTX 3080 to go along with the 10th of December launch day hype. The theming on this card is more subtle than the previous Nvidia-made RTX 2080 Ti, being mostly black with a yellow and white ‘cyber’ design. The design, which is mostly on the front face, would benefit from a case with a windowed side panel and a vertical GPU adapter such as those from Phanteks or CableMod.
By contrast, the RTX 2080 Ti utilised large amounts of yellow trim, particularly on the backplate. It also ended up releasing many months before the game due to several delays with development. However, this split the community between those who appreciated CD Projekt Red wanting to release a finished game and those who were frustrated about not yet getting to enjoy the game they had pre-ordered and booked annual leave time to play.
This limited-edition card — along with mice, controllers, and models — is only available on Bilibili in China. We imagine that there would be plenty of excitement if CD Projekt Red ran the same competition in other markets.
