Olight Seeker Ultra: New flashlight features USB-C, docking station and rear switch

Olight has introduced the Seeker Ultra. It is an upgraded version of the Seeker 4 Pro and uses the same form factor. At 5.4 inches long and 7.8 oz, however, it is slightly longer and heavier. The specs are largely those of a slightly improved Seeker 4 Pro. The range has been increased by 16 feet to 869 feet, while the maximum output is now 4,800 lumens instead of 4,600. Neither change is likely to be noticeable in practice.

The 21700 cylindrical battery now has significantly more capacity, though. The current model reaches around 20.8Wh, while the Seeker 4 Pro still used an 18Wh battery. Olight mainly uses the extra capacity in the lower output range. In the throttled 600-lumen mode, the flashlight can now last 70 minutes instead of just 35 minutes. In turbo mode, however, nothing changes. More than 2.5 minutes is not possible. The maximum runtime at 5 lumens rises from 15 to 17 days. The flashlight can now be charged in three ways. The classic MCC cable can be magnetically attached to the rear, even though a switch is also located there. Charging in the holster is also familiar, provided it is used as a stationary dock. The holster also locks the Seeker Ultra.

New is direct charging via a USB-C port on the flashlight head. A fixed cover protects it. The holster used as a charging dock also has a USB-C port. An MCC cable is not included. Olight currently offers the Seeker Ultra for $169. This price includes the holster, which also serves as a charging dock.
