Seasonic's official PSU wattage calculator page was updated with Nvidia's upcoming GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs and their respective wattage. The all new 50-series cards will consume fairly more power than their predecessors. An October launch is expected, with the RTX 5080 and 5090 being the first ones to be unveiled.

Nvidia's upcoming RTX 50 series has been eagerly awaited for a while now. The last leak regarding mobile GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs popped up in June, and now, we're getting a glimpse of the higher-end GPUs on Seasonic's wattage calculator webpage.

If Seasonic's page is to be believed, the RTX 5090 will have a fairly high power consumption (500W), 50 more watts than the RTX 4090. This shift could address performance gaps between existing models and introduce architectural improvements. Similarly, where the RTX 4080 had a 320W TDP, the 5080 is expected to have 350W. The update was first spotted on Seasonic's PSU wattage calculator webpage by @Olrak29_ on X (formerly Twitter). Once you're on the webpage and fill up all the relevant fields, you can choose an RTX 50 series card from the drop-down list to add to your configuration. Save the configuration, and once you open the downloaded text file, you can check the TDP values for your selected card.

As mentioned earlier, a previously leaked roadmap from laptop manufacturer Clevo (in June) had Nvidia's strategy for mobile RTX 50 GPUs. While the lower end of the market will see continued reliance on RTX 3050 and RTX 4050 models, the RTX 50 series will likely offer six distinct options, the flagship being the RTX 5090. Interestingly, two RTX 5080 variants with differing VRAM capacities are also mentioned.

It's important to note that these details are based on leaks and rumors. Nvidia is expected to start shipping 50-series consumer graphics cards around October, with the first launch likely being the RTX 5080 instead of the 5090 this year.
