Already in Advanced Access for Premium Edition buyers, Obsidian Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios’ Avowed (currently the best seller in the Xbox Games category on Amazon, priced at $94.99 in the Premium Edition SteelBook variant) is only one of the new titles and updates that receive day-one support from Nvidia's GeForce Game Ready Driver 572.42 update. The others are Sid Meier's Civilization VII, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, as well as Wuthering Waves, both already available, but now updated to DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation support.
In addition to the above, five new G-Sync Compatible gaming displays join the long list of hardware already certified. Four of these displays come from AOC, and the fifth carries the Philips branding. All use IPS panels and feature HDR support.
The four games that receive one-click optimal settings include two of the titles mentioned earlier, namely Avowed and Sid Meier's Civilization VII, alongside Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
In terms of technical improvements, it should be mentioned that, according to Nvidia, the new driver can deliver over 3X the average performance when using the RTX 50 series cards in certain scenarios. For example, a 3.7X performance improvement has been reported in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle at 1440p resolution with full ray tracing enabled. On the other hand, Avowed players can experience a 3.3X bump when running the game in 1080p with ray tracing on and all settings on max.
As usual, the new driver package can be downloaded via the Nvidia app or directly from the official GeForce page.
