Nothing Phone (2a): Render images, euro price, colors and configurations leaked
For the Mobile World Congress 2024 at the end of February, Nothing founder Carl Pei is expected to unveil the company's latest smartphone iteration. The midrange model for the Nothing Phone (2), presumably the Nothing Phone (2a), is likely to be a slimmed down variant both in terms of optics and specs, and will also come onto the market at a lower price. The Nothing Phone 2 is currently available on Amazon at a price of $799.
Compared to the current semi-flagship based on Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the Nothing Phone 2a, which will probably be equipped with the Mediatek Dimensity 7200, will be available for less than 400€ (~$440), at least according to Roland Quandt in one of his latests posts on social network X (formerly Twitter). Specifically, Pei is reportedly planning a model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage as well as a variant with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, while the color options remain limited to white and black.
A few leaks - most recently with some technical data - have already hinted at what the new Nothing smartphone will look like, and the two render images above (black model) and below (white model) are now circulating, although it is not entirely clear where they originate from. They can be found all over the internet, such as on Chinese network Weibo. Whether interested buyers will like this design is of course a matter of taste, and it is also questionable whether the price of just under 400€ (~$440) for a Dimensity 7200 smartphone will attract many interested parties.
