Nomad Leather Folio (Plus): Elegant leather cases for iPad Pro and iPad Air with stand and optional Apple Pencil holder
Nomad is launching new cases for iPad Pro and iPad Air made from high-quality leather, namely the Leather Folio and Leather Folio Plus. In addition to a kickstand for easy tablet setup, the Plus version offers a magnetic holder for the Apple Pencil.
Nomad has introduced new iPad cases made from high-quality leather. The new Nomad Leather Folio and Nomad Leather Folio Plus are reminiscent of the already well-known leather cases for the iPhone 15, but are designed for Apple tablets.
The new Nomad Leather Folio (Plus) is made from high-quality premium leather in brown and black. Both cases enclose the compatible Apple tablets on the front and back and provide protection with their fiberglass interior. The back measures 2.2 mm and the front cover 2.4 mm, so they are not particularly bulky.
In typical fashion, the front can be folded to form a triangular kickstand, with which the iPad can be conveniently set up. The Plus version also has a magnetic flap on the side in which the Apple Pencil can be stored and transported. Both new leather iPad cases are available for the 11 and 12.9 inch models, namely the iPad Pro 11 (from the 1st generation) and the iPad Air (from the 4th generation) and the iPad Pro 12.9 (from the 3rd generation).
The Leather Folio and Leather Folio Plus iPad cases are currently available directly from the manufacturer. Depending on the model and size, they cost between US$120-150 and are available in brown and black. The two new leather cases for the iPad will presumably soon be available on Amazon, where many of the manufacturer's products are already available.
I have been fascinated by technology for around 25 years – especially technology that makes life easier rather than more complicated. Mobile devices such as laptops, smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches are particularly close to my heart as is the booming subject of smart homes. I have been working in these areas for several years now as a news and reviews editor. I have been active with various websites, including the smart home blogs homee, Nuki, and siio, as well as tech portals such as Giga and TechRadar. I have been writing news and laptop reviews for Notebookcheck since 2020.

Growing up in regional Australia, I first became acquainted with computers in my early teens after a broken leg from a football (soccer) match temporarily condemned me to a predominately indoor lifestyle. Soon afterwards I was building my own systems. Now I live in Germany, having moved here in 2014, where I study philosophy and anthropology. I am particularly fascinated by how computer technology has fundamentally and dramatically reshaped human culture, and how it continues to do so.
