According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, a wave of updates is on the horizon for Apple's iPad lineup in the coming year. This encompasses the entire spectrum, including the standard iPad, iPad Pro, iPad Mini; which hasn't received an update in over 2 years, and iPad Air, all set for major updates throughout the course of the next year.
Gurman further reveals that 2023 will be a landmark year as Apple deviates from its tradition of introducing new iPad models annually, since its debut in 2010. This fact can be attributed to the ongoing development work behind the scenes, indicating that newer iPads simply aren't ready for launch yet.
A few months ago, Gurman teased iPad fans by disclosing Apple's work on the next-gen iPad Pro models, which are anticipated to feature the next-generation M3 chip. Excitingly, these upcoming iPad Pros are also slated to become Apple's first-ever foray into OLED displays for iPad, promising true blacks and vivid colors.
Furthermore, these newer iPad Pro models are expected to launch in both 11 and 13-inch sizes, with the larger 13-inch variant being marginally bigger than the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
