Nitecore launches compact air duster with USB-C

Nitecore's new BB Nano Wired is a particularly compact air duster that's designed to clean laptop keyboards, remove dust from hard-to-reach areas inside PC cases, and clean cameras. It weighs just 3 ounces and measures 1.85 x 1.85 x 3.62 inches. Unlike the previously introduced BB Nano, the wired model does not have a battery.
Instead, it requires a USB-C power source, with performance varying according to the supplied voltage. According to Nitecore, the blower can produce air speeds of 31 mph when connected to a power adapter or power bank supporting USB Power Delivery at 20V. This drops to 19 mph at 9V or 12V and 12 mph at 5V. Nitecore has fitted an RGB LED ring around the USB-C port that changes color depending on the input voltage. The company previously used a similar ring on the NB10000 Gen4 power bank, where it helped make the ports easier to find in the dark.
Nitecore claims the BB Nano Wired delivers twice the performance of a manual squeeze blower commonly sold as a camera accessory, producing 3 kPa of pressure. It also maintains this output continuously rather than in bursts. By comparison, the battery-powered BB Nano produces 2.6 kPa and is slightly heavier at around 3.5 ounces.
The BB Nano Wired is now shipping, although it has not yet reached Nitecore's official distributor in all regions. Pricing has not been announced either, but for comparison, the battery-powered model currently retails for $29.95 in the US.
