The Nintendo Switch 2 has been on sale in the US since June 5th. However, due to the tremendous demand, the console is quite hard to find at MSRP. Scalpers are using this opportunity to sell the Switch 2 at much more than the MSRP.

The Switch 2 was released to an overwhelming response earlier this month, as Nintendo managed to sell more than 3 million units in a few days. Logically, such demand for Switch 2 can hardly be met in the launch month. So, the console is quite hard to find at MSRP in the US.

As the GPU and PS5/Xbox Series console shortages of the past few years have shown us, scalpers haven’t missed this opportunity to snag the MSRP Switch 2 stock to sell the console at heavy markups.

For instance, the cheapest “Buy it now” Switch 2 eBay offer is around $537, at the time of writing. There are other similar offers, but sellers are mostly located outside of the US. The cheapest US-based seller has listed the console for $600 with the option for local pickup.

The pricing for Switch 2 game bundles is even worse. For instance, the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle, which has an MSRP of $499.99, is being sold on eBay for more than $600. More interestingly, people appear to be buying the Nintendo Switch 2 at these inflated prices.

Naturally, we don’t recommend paying scalper prices for the Switch 2. Unlike the recent Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series release, Nintendo had prepared a lot of Switch 2 stock for launch. This makes us hopeful that the company will keep producing more, and there will be frequent restocks.

How can you find the Nintendo Switch 2 at MSRP

Since the Switch 2 has only been out for about two weeks, retailers like Best Buy and GameStop are struggling to fulfill the initial demand. So, the best strategy is to sign up for alerts wherever you can, visit your local GameStop/Best Buy/Walmart store, and visit the online storefronts often.

You can also visit websites like Stock Informer to see which sites have the Switch 2 in stock.
