Ayaneo has just released its latest high-end Android gaming handheld. As it turns out, another option from Anbernic that fits the same description is right around the corner, too. As expected, Anbernic is wasting no time despite launching the RG35XX Pro just over a week ago.
According to the company's website, the RG Slide will be available to order on June 20 starting at 10:00 UTC in Black and White colour options. As is often the case, Anbernic will be offering an early bird discount for the first few days. This time, the company has included a $10 discount, which takes the RG Slide from $189.99 to $179.99 in its base configuration.
Please note that this version does not come with a microSD card. Instead, Anbernic will charge a $15 surcharge for a 128 GB microSD card and $30 extra for a 256 GB equivalent. In summary, the RG Slide repackages the hardware of the RG556 into a more compact housing, rather than the newer RG557 (curr. $339.99 on Amazon). Nonetheless, a Unisoc T820 chipset and 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM should be powerful enough to emulate most systems across the RG Slide's 120 Hz and 4.7-inch display. Please see Anbernic's website for more details.
