Four Shadow Warrior games, including the 1997 classic, are on sale on Steam for a limited time. First released in the late 90's, Lo Wang's uncouth and unfiltered adventures carry that edgy 90's vibe.
The first game featured fast-paced action and edgy humor, placing a heavy emphasis on interactivity with the environment. This blueprint was faithfully carried over for the 2013 remake, which significantly expanded the melee system.
The second game took a different direction, introducing light RPG elements and exploring open-world concepts. It had a Borderlands-like looter shooter system with tons of guns and blades to discover and upgrade. It also introduced co-op for the first time in the series.
The third game is often regarded as the weakest of the modern trilogy, returning to a more linear action-adventure style of the originals. It also borrows liberally from games like Doom Eternal and is a much more arena-focused combat FPS.
The Steam bundle packages all four games for a definitive edition. The 1997 original is only $1.99 (€1.95 or £1.70) after an 80% discount. The 2013 remake is 90% off and available for $2.99 (€2.89 or £2.49).
The 2016 sequel is also 90% off, marked down to $2.99 (€2.89 or £2.49). The newest game in the series, launched in 2022, is 50% off, priced at $19.99 (€19.49 or £16.75).
You can buy all four games in a bundle for $22.36 (€21.77 or £18.74), which is a total of 75% off on the combined price.
