Casio’s high-end MR-G line is getting a new addition. The newly surfaced MRG-B2000RG-3A has just been revealed by popular blog Great G-Shock World, and it shows off a mix of premium finishes and culturally inspired design details. While there’s no confirmed release date yet, pricing is expected to be around 400,000 yen in Japan. That's roughly $2,780.
This MR-G model draws its theme from "kurogane-iro," a dark greenish iron color often seen in traditional Japanese crafts. Combined with rich gold highlights and a layered case finish, the MRG-B2000RG-3A seems built to stand out without being overly flashy. The bezel uses recrystallized titanium. Casio has used similar techniques on other luxury MR-G models like the MRG-B2000BS-3A, but this version pushes the contrast further with a brushed, almost stone-like texture around the edges and visible hex screws.
Up close, the dial is just as detailed. A fine kikkō (turtle shell) pattern surrounds the subdials, with sharply machined markers and multi-layered depth across the face. The dial design is likely inherited from other B2000-series models, which typically offer Bluetooth smartphone sync, Tough Solar power, world time for 300+ cities, and triple subdials for multi-time zone and calendar tracking.
Images also reveal a lightweight fluoro-rubber band. Combined with titanium construction and a multi-piece case build, the MRG-B2000RG-3A shouldn't really weigh too much despite its bold size.
It's too early to tell whether this model is Japan-exclusive or if it’ll see global release. But if previous MR-G launches are anything to go by, expect a limited rollout in Asia followed by a wider debut through G-Shock boutiques.
