Casio has quietly launched a new set of mid-sized Edifice watches under the EFV-610 series, revealed through an official listing. The new lineup includes four models - EFV-610DE-2A, EFV-610ECL-1A, EFV-610DE-3A, and EFV-610EL-5A- all keeping things simple with a familiar Edifice layout, wrapped in new color palettes.
These are analog chronographs with a quartz engine and traditional styling - no Bluetooth, no solar power - just clean dials and rose gold accents. The design appears to target users who prefer practical chronographs with a bit of visual charm.
From the official spec sheet for the EFV-610 series, it features:
- A stainless-steel case measuring 48.6 × 43.8 × 11 mm
- 100-meter water resistance
- Mineral glass, screw lock back, and standard chronograph functions (1/10-sec stopwatch, split time, elapsed time, and 1st–2nd place modes)
- Battery life rated at approx. 2 years on an SR920SW
- Accuracy of ±20 seconds per month
Two variants use genuine leather straps, and two are fitted with stainless-steel bracelets. The dial layout follows Edifice’s long-running tri-subdial chronograph format with the date at 3 o’clock.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the four models:
- EFV-610DE-2A – Aquamarine dial with rose gold accents, steel bracelet
- EFV-610ECL-1A – Black dial with rose gold case, leather strap
- EFV-610DE-3A – Olive green dial with rose accents, steel bracelet
- EFV-610EL-5A – Champagne dial, silver case, leather strap
Essentially, these are everyday quartz chronographs with a little more polish than usual. The 1/10-second stopwatch is a nice touch for light timing tasks. They’re not built to impress from a feature standpoint, but they’re positioned well for users who want something stylish, reliable, and easy to wear. The release looks to be tailored more toward design-focused buyers who'd like something affordable but with slightly better finishing compared to Casio’s lower-end watches. Exact pricing and availability are unconfirmed as of now.
