Panasonic has unveiled the PT-VMZ7ST and PT-VMZ6ST projectors. These new short-throw LCD laser models are designed for business uses, like in an office meeting room or as part of a museum installation.
While both the PT-VMZ7ST and the PT-VMZ6ST have a laser light source, the former offers up to 7,000 ANSI lumens brightness, while the latter’s peak brightness is 6,200 ANSI lumens. This makes them two of Panasonic’s most powerful projectors of their kind. The devices have a WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200 px) resolution, a maximum projected image size of 250 inches (~635 cm) and a 0.80-1.01 throw ratio. You can perfect the image with 1.2X manual zoom, keystone correction and lens shift. Other features include Digital Zoom Extender, Digital Image Shift and color adjustment tools.
There is support for 4K signals via Digital Link and HDMI, with other ports on the devices including RJ45 and USB-A. Plus, there is a built-in 10W speaker. The Panasonic PT-VMZ7ST and PT-VMZ6ST projectors will be available to purchase via third-party retailers early next year, though their pricing remains unclear. If you are looking for a home theater projector, you could consider the BenQ TH671ST 1080p Short Throw Gaming Projector, currently $699 at Amazon.
