New Google Pixel 7a leak reveals official cases and hints at fourth exclusive colourway
Roland Quandt and WinFuture have shared high-resolution images of the Pixel 7a, Google's next mid-range smartphone. As other leaks have shown, Google will sell the Pixel 7a in Arctic Blue, Carbon Grey and Cotton White colourways. However, Quandt adds that Google may offer a fourth colourway, but only as a Google Store exclusive. Images of this fourth rumoured colourway have not surfaced yet though, nor is it clear whether this mysterious colour will be available globally.
Quandt has also published product images of official cases, which colour match the Pixel 7a's main launch colours. Presumably, Google will launch a matching case option for the rumoured fourth colourway. Regardless, the new leak confirms that Google has moved away from the translucent cases that it created for the Pixel 6a. Instead, the Pixel 7a will receive conventional silicone official cases.
Based on the images below, it appears that these cases are about as thick as the device's camera housing. Thus, they should be over 1 mm thicker than the device itself. Currently, Google is expected to announce the Pixel 7a during its I/O 2023 keynote on May 10. Previous leaks have suggested that the Pixel 7a will start at US$499 with 128 GB of storage, with a 256 GB variant also touted.
