Google Pixel Tablet set to be cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8
As it stands, Google is expected to debut its first-gen tablet, the Pixel Tablet, on May 10 at I/O. Details of the Pixel Tablet have slowly been revealed over the past few months, and a new leak now provides a hint as to how it'll be priced—in Europe, at least.
According to leaker Roland Quandt, the Pixel Tablet will be priced between €600 and €650 in Europe. That makes sense as Google tends to undercut Samsung, and the vanilla Galaxy Tab S8 starts at €699 in Germany. Like the Tab S8, it appears the Pixel Tablet will be available in two storage tiers: 128 GB and 256 GB. Four color options have been touted in the past but Quandt claims the existence of "Porcelain" and "Hazel" colorways.
Seeing as the Galaxy Tab S8 debuted with an MSRP of US$699 in the States, Google fans can expect the Pixel Tablet to sport a lower price tag when it launches. The actual hardware credentials of the Pixel Tablet compared to the Tab S8 are a different discussion, however.
