Xiaomi is set to launch a new mid-range smartphone, following recent Redmi Note 12 series launches in Europe. This time, the company has prepared the Redmi Note 12R Pro, which it will fully reveal on April 29. Not only has Xiaomi shared a teaser image of the device, but it has also revealed several key specifications.
Writing on Weibo, Xiaomi declares that the Redmi Note 12R Pro will rely on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, a recent chipset with two ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores, six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores and an Adreno 619 GPU. Additionally, the device will come with an integrated 5G modem courtesy of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, as well as up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
Moreover, Xiaomi has confirmed the inclusion of an OLED display that will operate at 120 Hz, plus a 48 MP primary camera. In other words, it appears that Xiaomi has re-badged the Redmi Note 12 5G, despite already offering the device in China. If that is the case, then the Redmi Note 12R Pro will contain a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33 W wired charging, along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It remains to be seen whether the Redmi Note 12R Pro will be a Chinese exclusive for now too.
