Lenovo has announced plans to release the ThinkPhone by Motorola in the US, three months after introducing the smartphone at CES 2023. At the time, Lenovo outlined that it would offer the ThinkPhone by Motorola in Australia, Europe, the Middle East, the US and certain Asian countries. However, it did not confirm local pricing, nor when the smartphone would be available.
Since then, Lenovo released the ThinkPhone by Motorola in the UK for £899.99, allowing us to review the smartphone. In comparison, Lenovo will sell the smartphone for US$699.99 in the US, which is significantly cheaper than its UK pricing, even accounting for VAT. Effectively, the ThinkPhone by Motorola is US$200 cheaper in the US than in the UK.
Motorola will start selling handsets on April 28 with no purchase restrictions. By contrast, Lenovo has already opened B2B orders for the same price. All units will come factory unlocked, with neither Motorola nor Lenovo partnering with carriers. Please see our review for full thoughts on the ThinkPhone by Motorola and how it compares against other modern flagships.
