New DJI Avata 360 attacks competition with budget pricing

Earlier this week, DJI shared a cryptic teaser across its social media platforms. At the time, the company merely hinted that it had a new drone in the works. Recent leaks have all but confirmed that DJI is on the verge of replacing the Avata 2, though (curr. $619 on Amazon).
Now, Jasper Ellens has offered up more information about the Avata 360 ahead of its official release. According to the leaker, a recent picture showing the drone and retail packaging were accurate. Thus, it seems likely that other pictures pulled from Facebook Marketplace were real as well.

Not only that, but Ellens reports that the Avata 360 will support replaceable lenses. Reportedly priced at $50/€50, these lenses will come in packs of two and will screw directly into the drone. Likewise, additional Intelligent Flight Batteries will run to around $70/€70 with 38.6 Wh capacities each.
Meanwhile, Ellens believes that the Avata 360 will line up for approximately $499. A precise launch date remains unknown for the time being. With that being said, the same leaker asserts that DJI will share a new teaser on March 12. Multiple videos are due 'in the coming weeks' too. Hence, it seems unlikely at this stage that DJI will release the Avata 360 before the start of April 2026.
