Discover what's beyond: DJI teases new device amid global launch rumours

DJI has fallen into a new release strategy in recent months. Over the last few years, the company has often delivered new products in China and globally simultaneously. That changed once the US' ban on foreign-made drones looked set to be coming into effect.
Since then DJI has focused on China first, with the RS 5 camera stabiliser and Osmo Action 6 (curr. $369 on Amazon) reaching its home market around two weeks to a month before a global launch occurred. As a result, the company shared teasers on Chinese social media weeks before publishing equivalents for the rest of the world.
Now though, DJI has returned to sharing teasers simultaneously. Unusually, DJI's latest video is more cryptic than past teasers. Across a 41-second clip, the company does not acknowledge what it has planned or when it will be launching anything. Nonetheless, the footage is clearly shot on a drone, which DJI acknowledges in its tweet.
Primarily, the footage is shot from a first-person perspective (FPV). However, DJI repeatedly also shows 360-degree shots, adding that fans will soon be discovering 'an all-new dimension'. Consequently, we suspect this is DJI's first teaser of a new device rather than an existing one. The Avata 360 has recently appeared for sale on Facebook Marketplace, too. Thus, it seems that the launch of the Avata 360 could be right around the corner.
