PJC RG708 Max: New drone with display remote launches for $134

Banggood is selling a new GPS drone called the PJC RG708 Max. It can be ordered with one or two batteries and with or without an obstacle avoidance system. Prices start at around $130 excluding shipping from China and potential import fees and taxes. Delivery probably takes weeks or months depending on the buyer’s location, and warranty claims might be difficult to enforce.
That being said, the drone supposedly offers a flight time of 25 minutes, but it needs three hours to fully recharge. Even with two batteries, this means that waiting between flights might be required. The system is controlled via the remote that can even show a live feed of the camera. The manufacturer claims this works over a distance of up to about 0.6 miles. The display can also be used to plan routes. For instance, the gadget can fly around buildings or objects. A GPS module is integrated, and when the battery is low or the signal is lost, the drone automatically returns to its takeoff point.
Meanwhile, the camera is mounted on a gimbal, but unlike DJI drones it does not support 4K video and can only record in Full-HD resolution. Without obstacle avoidance, the foldable drone has a takeoff weight of 249 grams. With the obstacle avoidance module installed, the PJC RG708 Max exceeds the 250-gram limit, which might be relevant depending on local regulations and laws.
