A few months after we first reported on an early leak of a Rui Hachimura-themed G-Shock model under the GM-5600 series, new images and pricing details have surfaced - confirming that Casio is prepping another special-edition watch with the Japanese NBA player. This will mark the fifth collab between Rui Hachimura and G-Shock with a release scheduled for August 2025 at approximately ¥39,600/€279/~$268.
Unlike previous Hachimura models that had resin cases and sportier color blocking, the new GM-5600RH-1 goes the more refined route with a full-metal case, black and red dial, and Rui’s signature engraved into the strap keeper in red. The red-accented negative LCD display is framed by a brushed bezel, which creates a sharp contrast that carries over to the red icons and Hachimura’s logo positioned at 12 o'clock on the face.
From what’s visible, the model uses a matte resin strap similar to standard 5600s, with a standard G-Shock steel tang buckle. Rest of the design is very true to the GM-5600 template, which is a metal-cased upgrade over the iconic DW-5600, but the custom colorway and branding helps it stand out.
For context, Rui Hachimura's earlier collabs with G-Shock have included variations like the GM-110RH and GST-B100RH, which came with bold contrasts and basketball-inspired motifs. This new GM-5600RH-1, by contrast, looks more stylized.
No word yet on whether this release will be globally available or limited to Japan and select regions like some earlier Hachimura releases. Either way, with five collaborations under his belt, it’s more than clear that Rui is a key figure in Casio’s partnership strategy.
