The new Panzera Flieger 45G Aggressor is developed for members of the USAF Aggressor Squadron, and it follows a straightforward approach which is rooted in pilot’s watch tradition. With a 45mm stainless steel case and a matte black dial, the watch displays time and information quite clearly, thanks to luminous hands and hour markers, while a domed sapphire crystal takes care of any glare. The Aggressor Squadron emblem is visible just above 6 o’clock.
A display back reveals the Japanese Seiko NH34A automatic GMT movement, which supplies 41 hours of power reserve and an independent GMT hand for a second time zone. The movement includes a date function and hacking seconds. The quick-release strap system is comes in steel, leather, or rubber options. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters.
Each watch bears a serial number and is assembled and regulated in Sydney, Australia. The retail price falls between €700 (~$811) and €900 (~$1,042). Several alternatives with similar technical specs can be found in this range, including the Seiko 5 Sports GMT SSK001, Citizen Promaster Skyhawk (curr. $542 on Amazon), Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic, and Mido Ocean Star Tribute. Buyers weighing these choices will find that core spec-wise, these watches are broadly similar, with the main differences coming down to case size, design, and brand history.
The Aggressor should be best considered alongside the others in its bracket based on design preference and specific needs, rather than any claim of unique construction or performance. Although the squadron edition itself is exclusive, you can check out the Flieger 45G, which is the base for the limited-edition Aggressor edition, starting from $825.
