The Casio Vintage AQ-230EGL-9A and AQ-230EL-1A watches are on the way to Europe. These two hybrid timepieces were unveiled in early October 2025 and have been available to purchase in Japan for a few weeks.
Now, Casio has listed the Vintage AQ-230EGL-9A and AQ-230EL-1A watches at its online stores across Europe. In countries like the Netherlands, France and Germany, the AQ-230EL-1A (black and silver) is listed with a €59.90 RRP, while the AQ-230EGL-9A (tan and gold) variant is more expensive at €69.90. As is typical, prospective customers are invited to sign up to receive an email notification when they launch; you can use the “Coming soon” button on the product page to do this.
The Casio AQ-230EL-1A has a silver colored resin and chrome casing and bezel, with a black crocodile print leather strap. The AQ-230EGL-9A has a similar design, with a gold colored casing and a tan, crocodile print leather strap. Each version measures 38.8 x 29.8 x 8.1 mm (~1.5 x 1.2 x 0.3 inches) and weighs around 20 g (~0.7 oz).
The AQ-230 is an analog-digital watch, with two analog hands said to remain accurate to within 30 seconds each month. At the bottom of the dial is a slim, digital display, showing the time in a second time zone, as well as the date and the day of the week. Other features include a daily alarm, hourly time signals and a 1/100th second stopwatch. It remains to be seen whether or when these Casio Vintage AQ-230EGL-9A and AQ-230EL-1A watches could be released in other markets like the US.
