Here's what the new Kindle 12th gen looks like

Amazon is gearing up to launch the next generation of its Kindle e-book reader. A new report has showcased the design and some of the changes compared to the previous generation. There seem to be two versions of the 12th generation Kindle, as well as a version for kids.

The information comes courtesy of Roland Quandt via Winfuture, and it shows images of the new Kindle in its different color options. This time around, Amazon has decided to slightly round the edges of the display for a more cohesive look with the body. The images also show that the power button has moved to the top right instead of the bottom. There seem to be two versions, one with a flat front panel that sits mostly flush with the frame and another with the frame slightly raised. That could just be a difference in images and not present in the final device itself.
The new e-reader is expected to retain the 6-inch screen size but get some minor improvements to the display. Color options include light blue, green, black, and purple.

There is also going to be a kids' version that will likely have an included cover, as well as a longer warranty. That’s about all the information available for now about the 12th generation Kindle devices.
Pricing and availability are unclear as well. The current-generation Kindle is priced at $150, while the Kindle Kids has been listed at a discounted price of $123 at the time of publishing.
