Amazon's new Fire TV Stick 4K costs $59.99, but the superior Fire TV 4K Max is on sale for $44.99

Amazon has announced a new generation of its Fire TV Stick 4K. The new model replaces the Fire TV Stick 4K Select that was released in September 2025. However, with Amazon currently offering discounts on its higher-tiered models, you are better off skipping the new model.

The new Fire TV Stick 4K has been redesigned and is now slimmer. It is powered by Amazon's Vega operating system, the same one that debuted on the Fire TV 4K Select. Amazon says there are now more apps available including Spotify, Xbox, VLC, and VPNs. The Fire TV Stick 4K also comes with Alexa+ and the new Fire TV Experience.

In addition, Amazon says the new TV stick doesn't need a power adapter as it can be powered by the USB port of your TV. This feature is also available on the cheaper Fire TV Stick HD (2026). There's a 1.7GHz quad-core processor powering it and it is paired with 8GB of storage space.

The Fire TV Stick 4K also has Dolby-encoded audio (HDMI pass-through) and support for HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, H.265, H.264, VP9, and AV1. For connectivity, there's Bluetooth 5.3, Bluetooth LE, and Wi-Fi 6. You can also purchase a USB-C ethernet adapter if you wish.

Amazon ships the Fire TV Stick 4K with a redesigned voice remote that has a flat top and a rounded weighted bottom. It claims that this design makes it easy to identify which direction to hold it. Among the changes the new remote brings is a metallic orange home button and a customizable favorite button. The new remote can also control compatible TVs, soundbars, and receivers with its power, volume, and mute buttons.

While this new remote ships with the new Fire TV Stick 4K, Amazon says that it is compatible with all Fire TV streaming devices and Amazon Ember TVs launched from 2019 till date.

The Fire TV Stick 4K is available to buy now for $59.99 ,and it comes with a 1.3ft power cable and 2 AAA batteries for the included remote. You can also choose to purchase the bundle that includes the ethernet adapter for $79.98 or the bundle that includes a 5ft USB-C cable and 5W wall adapter for $89.97.

If you'd rather save some money while getting a much better product, Amazon has the Fire TV Stick 4K Max on sale for $44.99 (47% off). It has a more powerful processor, 16GB of storage, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos Audio, and ships with the Alexa Voice Remote Enhanced. Or you can purchase the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus for $37.99 (46% off). It isn't as powerful as the Max version and has 8GB of storage and Wi-Fi 6, but it has Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos Audio.
