Xiaomi releases new TV Stick globally with Google TV and Dolby Audio

Xiaomi has finally released its latest TV Stick globally. Added to its global website in March, the Xiaomi TV Stick HD (2nd Gen) then arrived in Poland at the start of June. Now, the device has landed in multiple other markets, including Czechia, Malaysia, Turkey and the UK.
In short, the Xiaomi TV Stick HD (2nd Gen) rivals Amazon's Fire TV Stick HD (curr. $19.99 on Amazon). For reference, the Fire TV Stick HD runs Fire OS rather than the newer Vega OS. By contrast, Xiaomi pre-installs Google TV on its HD TV Stick, which provides access to over 10,000 apps. By default, the TV Stick HD (2nd Gen) only has popular apps added to its 8 GB of built-in storage, including Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and YouTube.
Additionally, the TV Stick HD (2nd Gen) contains four ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores, a Mali-G31 MP2 GPU and 1 GB of DDR4 RAM. A Micro USB port sits on the underside of its 107.4 x 30 x 14 mm housing though, with a full-sized HDMI port up front that outputs at up to 1080p and 60 Hz. Moreover, the TV Stick HD (2nd Gen) is compatible with Dolby Audio, DTS:X and DTS HD, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz dual-band Wi-Fi.
Xiaomi charges CZK 1,199, MYR 239, TRY 3,399 and £39.99 (~$53) in Czechia, Malysia, Turkey and the UK, respectively. Xiaomi ships a remote with voice controls in all markets. Please see Xiaomi's website for more details.
