Dual-screen E-Ink phone with magnetic LCD, stylus support opens for preorder

Bigme has put the HiBreak Dual 3 up for pre-order on its official store. The company first showed the E-Ink phone in late August, but it gave no price or release date at the time. Both are now listed, and shipping is expected from early to mid November.

The HiBreak Dual 3 starts at $569. That price gets you the 12 GB/256 GB version with a black-and-white E Ink panel and no LCD. Adding the detachable LCD raises the price to $629. The color E Ink panel adds another $20, so the combination shown in Bigme's product photos sells for $649. The 16 GB/512 GB tier follows the same pattern and starts from $689, all the way up to $769. The store also shows strikethrough prices of up to $1,229, but the phone had no price before this week.

The main display measures 6.13 inches. Bigme rates the E Ink panel at up to 85 FPS. Resolution is 300 PPI in black and white and drops to 150 PPI in color. Stylus input works on this screen only. The second display is a 5-inch LCD with a 720 x 1280 resolution. It attaches to the back magnetically and comes off when you only need the E Ink side.

Inside, the Dual 3 runs the MediaTek Dimensity 8300. Bigme used the same chip in the HiBreak Dual 2. The phone ships with Android 16 and has a TF card slot that takes cards of up to 2 TB. Connectivity covers 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3. The battery is rated at 4,450 mAh and charges at up to 30 W. A 50 MP camera sits on the back, while the front gets a 5 MP sensor. Stereo speakers and two microphones take care of audio, and wired headphones connect over USB-C.

The phone measures 159.7 x 79.8 x 9.5 mm. Bigme has not listed a weight, and it is unclear whether that thickness figure includes the LCD module.
