Amazon has introduced discounts on several previous-generation Kindle devices, although the deals are currently restricted to its "Like-New" products, essentially refurbished or pre-owned models. With the latest Kindle 2026 lineup carrying considerably higher price tags, these older devices offer an alternative for readers looking to save money without sacrificing much functionality. The Kindle models currently on sale include:

• Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (32GB) – $190.99
• Kindle Colorsoft (16GB) – $220.99
• Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition (32GB) – $243.99

Some offers stand out more than others. The previous-generation Paperwhite, for example, costs just $3 more than the entry-level Kindle (2026), making it a particularly attractive purchase. The former offers a 7-inch display, waterproof housing and up to 12 weeks of battery life, as opposed to the 6-inch display of the entry-level Kindle (2026) and its lack of waterproofing and lower battery life (up to six weeks). Meanwhile, the 16GB Kindle Scribe is available for $284.99, compared to $499 of the newer model. The Colorsoft discounts are also worthwhile, with both models considerably cheaper than their latest counterparts.
