Alleged specifications for a desktop version of the GeForce RTX 4060 have surfaced online, courtesy of @kopite7kimi. For reference, NVIDIA introduced a laptop version of the GeForce RTX 4060 last month during CES 2023; a desktop counterpart only remains rumoured for now. Incidentally, the laptop version of the GeForce RTX 4060 appears to be about as powerful as the RTX 3070 Ti laptop GPU.
According to @kopite7kimi, the desktop version of the GeForce RTX 4060 will utilise the same board as its laptop counterpart, known as PG190. As such, NVIDIA has developed both GeForce RTX 4060 editions with an AD107 GPU (AD107-400-A1) that offers 3,072 CUDA cores. Additionally, the leaker asserts that the desktop GeForce RTX 4060 will arrive with 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM clocked at 18 Gbps, as well as 24 MB of L2 cache and a 115 W TGP.
The latter would appear logical on the face of it, with NVIDIA also affording laptop GeForce RTX 4060 cards with up to 115 W TGPs. However, laptop models also have an additional 15 W to 25 W available via Dynamic Boost. Hence, it seems unlikely that desktop cards would effectively feature a lower TDP than their laptop counterparts. A release date has not leaked yet, but VideoCardz believes NVIDIA will comment on the desktop GeForce RTX 4060 in early spring.
