NASA Mars Perseverance Rover kit features robotic arm and camera

After CircuitMess launched the Artemis Watch 2.0, a programmable smartwatch with a retro-futuristic NASA design, the NASA Mars Perseverance Rover launches as a robot kit that is marketed primarily as an educational gadget. This robot was originally introduced last year, but the Mars Rover was sold out for a long time and is now finally available again.
The robot is supplied as a kit and must be assembled using detailed instructions. The aim of this process is to impart knowledge of electronics, robotics and wireless communication. Once the robot has been assembled, it can be controlled remotely using a special controller. Not only can the robot be driven, it is also possible to pan the camera and control the robot arm.
The software for these basic actions is included, but the firmware is open source so that it can be modified as required. The platform's capabilities can also be expanded with additional sensor modules. The supplied solar panel is only decorative, the robot's battery must be charged via a USB cable.
