Mysterious new Casio G-Shock Frogman GWF-300 appears in official certification database

A heretofore unseen Casio G-Shock Frogman watch appears to be in development. According to Great G-Shock World, it carries the model number GWF-300 and has now surfaced in an unspecified international certification database. Further investigation found it in Indonesia’s official DJID/KOMDIGI e-Sertifikasi NextGen database, where it was listed on September 3 2026. While Casio has yet to announce the watch, the registration confirms that the GWF-300 will be manufactured in Japan, and its appearance in a certification database implies it will have some form of wireless connectivity, likely Bluetooth.

Beyond that, very little is known about the new Frogman for now, but its three-digit model number gives us a rough idea about its position in Casio’s hierarchy. Recent flagship Master of G watches tend to use four-digit references, such as the GWG-B1000 Mudmaster, while simpler models often use three-digit numbers. Great G-Shock World therefore speculates that the GWF-300 could be positioned below Casio's most feature-heavy Frogman watches.

Bluetooth support is similarly intriguing. Ordinarily, newer G-Shock models that support the standard include a "B" in their model names. The GWF-300 does not, despite its certification apparently confirming Bluetooth hardware. The GWF-300 name also suggests a spiritual successor to the GW-200. Introduced in 2001 as the fourth-generation Frogman, the GW-200 combined the line's characteristic asymmetric case design with Tough Solar charging. A new GWF-300 could use the same underlying design principles and modernise the GW-200 for today's audience with commonly used connectivity features.
