Mysterious Google/Fitbit wearable appears in Pixel 11 ads

Alongside the new Pixel smartphones, Google also announced the Pixel Watch 5. The new smartwatch arrives as Google's second wearable this year after the screen-less Fitbit Air. However, it appears that these two are not the only wearables Google has planned for release, as official Pixel 11 ads have revealed a third wearable that is yet to be unveiled.

The ads, which are said to be from YouTube (via Reddit), show the unannounced device alongside other Pixel products, including the Pixel Watch 5. As the images show, the device has a display, unlike the Fitbit Air. However, rather than a round one like the Pixel Watch 5 or a square like that of the Fitbit Versa 4, the screen is oblong.

There are no visible buttons on the device, but the wearable is shown to be available in Olive and Fog, matching two of the colors of the Pixel 11 series. It is expected that there will be other colors and designs available when it is announced.

There are speculations as to which device this is, with some saying it is probably the anticipated follow-up to the nearly three years old Fitbit Charge 6. While it remains to be seen if it will launch as the Fitbit Charge 7, this device will probably sit in between the Fitbit Air and the Pixel Watch 5, catering to those who want a tracker with a display, but not a full-fledged smartwatch.

As at the time of writing, Google has not issued a statement regarding the unreleased device.
